Giant A.R.T Captured Double No.1 in 2006 Asia Tour Point Accumulation Ranking
(Taipei news)According to the latest UCI’s announcement about the Asia Tour Point Accumulation, Giant A.R.T. captured double No.1.That is, Giant A.R.T became the champion of the Team General with the point of 1379.64,and Ghader became the lead hero of Individual General with the points of 434.32.Mr Lin Wen Chin, the manager of Giant A.R.T., expressed that the race projects for the new year have been finished, and the national riders will have more chances to participate in the race, but what the biggest diffculty the team faces at present is the inadequate fee.
According to the UCI’s announcement, the rankings of the Team General &Individual General in 2006 Asia Tour is as followings:

In the second year of Asia Tour Race, owing to 2006 race season has been finished, UCI’s announced the rank of the Team General and Individual General. Making significant profess in 2006.Giant A.R.T. the champions of Team General In 2005,undoubtedly became the biggest winner with being the champion of the Team General and Individual General and occupying four position in top8. Ghader of Giant. A.R.T ,the champion of Individual General will go to Switzerland for accepting the prize awarded by the UCI’s chairrman, Mr 麥奎德.
Mr Lin, the manager of Asia Giant A.R.T., appointed that Racing project for 2007 Asia Tour Race have been finished, and the first race will be competed in the Road Tour of Hainan on Nov.12.He also stated that the important point of the new year’s rules is to provide more opportunity for the domestic riders to participate into the race, so that it can promote our domestic strength and level in the
Road race. Moreover, we also promise that we will try our best to effect the goal of joining Tour of France in 5years.
Mr Lin expressed that it is planed to have 12races for the new year project and the biggest difficulty of the team is the uptight fee which block the team facilitation, so that the race project and the preparation fee will be changed due to the limited fee. He hopes that they can get more money for resolving the difficulty before new Asia Tour Race.
